Community Outreach

Ice at The Galleria is proud to support and foster philanthropic partnerships in an ongoing effort to support our community.  We want to sincerely thank the following organizations for their positive impact they have made to improve the quality of life in the greater Houston area.

Rice Adaptive Skating Program

Please check back for dates.

Adaptive Skating HTX, hosted by Rice University Adaptive Skating, is a non-profit program dedicated to empowering children with disabilities through specialized skating instruction. Adaptive skating encourages individuals with physical or developmental disabilities to develop independence and confidence while being physically active. It raises self-esteem, develops peer relationships, and enhances overall health with rewarding personal achievements.

We believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience the joy and exhilaration of gliding on the ice, regardless of their financial situation. Your support allows us to provide specialized instruction, scholarships, equipment, transportation for our coaches, ice rental, and other important resources to our participants. Whether you can give a little or a lot, every donation helps us continue our mission of empowering children with disabilities. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support!

Every $70 donated will provide a child with the opportunity to join our 8-week program without any cost!

Interested in signing up your child or volunteering? Visit adaptiveskatinghtx.org and follow us on Instagram @adaptiveskating for more information! Please contact Isabel.Z.Wang@rice.edu with questions.
